Multilayer PCB:

Customer may designate the inner core material, but additional cost and time maybe added depending on material availability. We currently include the following laminates single sided with a copper foil 1/8 oz. at 8 mil and 1/2 oz. copper in 4, 8 and 10 mil materials for multilayering. Currently we stock 2, 3, and 6 mil thick prepregs. These combinations allow Procyon PCB, Inc. to make your multilayer PCB's to your specifications.

Procyon PCB, Inc. can also have your boards "MASSLAM/MINILAM" for additional layers through a sub-contractor that we have a relationship with. Please contact us for more information.

Lamination of layers:

Lamination of copper layers onto each other is an overnight process. Proper curing and cooling is required in order for a flat finished product. If hidden plated vias are required, a additional lamination step is required. Therefore a four layer board can take as long as two days to manufacture, a six layer will take three days, and an eight layer board will take up to four days minimum to complete, and of course additional layers and hidden vias will require additional days for lamination. Additional time maybe required for cutting and pressing solder stop masking.
